Study of the National Labor Relations Act as amended, the preact history of the labor movement, and the judiciary's response thereto, with emphasis on understanding the problems, experiments, and forces leading to the enactment; includes the negotiation and administration of the collective bargaining agreement, especially the grievance arbitration procedure, its operation and place in national labor policy; and explores the relationship of the individual and the union. Same as LIR 547. 3 or 4 professional hours or 4 graduate hours. Perequisite: Graduate standing or completion of first year of law curriculum.
