Credit: 3 hours.
Students are required to solve an actual, real world design problem; to develop, evaluate, and recommend alternative solutions; and to satisfy realistic constraints that include most of the following considerations: economic; environmental; sustainability; manufacturability; ethical; health and safety; social; and political.
3 undergraduate hours. No graduate credit. Approval of the department is required to register. Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in no more than two required IE courses; completion of all other required courses.
