Cont Issues in Intl Econ

Credit: 2 TO 4 hours.

In depth analysis of selected current issues and policy problems of the international economy, including (but not restricted to) the following: new approaches to the theory of international trade, reform of the international monetary system, role of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in expanding trade between developed and undeveloped economies, problems of stabilizing international commodity markets, and balance of payments problems of the United States and other selected countries.

3 undergraduate hours. 2 or 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: ECON 420 or equivalent.
