Examines the role of information in economic and behavioral models of decision making under uncertainty; presents major paradigms underlying contemporary accounting research. Interdisciplinary approach; readings drawn from the accounting, behavioral, economics, and finance literature.

Prerequisite: MATH 463, ACCY 591, and ECON 502.
