Topic: Is West the Best? Exploration of West Coast and its cultural paradigm through a series of carefully planned visits and guided tours - ever sprawling urban jungle of Los Angeles, high-tech entrepreneurial spirit of Silicon Valley, liberal platforms of San Francisco, to name but a few. This course allows UIUC students to complement knowledge attained in classrooms and studios with physical experience of unique spaces, art works, cultural phenomena, businesses and institutions. Meets May 15 to June 2. Open to all University students, sophomore standing and up, 18 and older. Additional expenses will apply. Contact the instructor for more information.
