Spring 2006 All Classes
Credit: 3 hours.
Students are required to solve an actual, real world design problem; to develop, evaluate, and recommend alternative solutions; and to satisfy realistic constraints that include most of the following considerations: economic; environmental; sustainability; manufacturability; ethical; health and safety; social; and political.
Same as IE 470. 3 undergraduate hours. No graduate hours. Prerequisite: Senior standing in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering; completion of or concurrent enrollment in all required courses; completion of campus Composition I general education requirement.
Students must register for one lab-discussion and one lecture section. You will receive a TIME CONFLICT ERROR when registering for this course. Please contact the M&IE Undergraduate Programs Office, 154 MEB, 217-333-0366, ahouser@uiuc.edu to receive the necessary override to register for the course.
