Facilities Planning and Design

Credit: 3 hours.

Reviews the process of facility planning, plant layout design, and materials handling analysis; includes the determination of facilities requirements, site selection, materials flow, use of analytical and computerized techniques including simulation, and applications to several areas such as manufacturing, warehousing, and office planning.

Prerequisite: IE 310 or equivalent.
