Examines the development of the physically based theories of scarcity and a comparison to the historical and most recent economic theories of scarcity of critical resources, especially energy, and their expected application in local, regional, national, and international situations. Same as ECON 415. 3 undergraduate hours. 3 or 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: MATH 230 or equivalent; ECON 102 or ECON 103, or equivalent; and ECON 302 or consent of instructor.
