Critical study of narrative films, with viewing and discussion of a major film each week; in-depth study of selected directors, genres, and themes; emphasis on aspects of film aesthetics, criticism, and history.

Prerequisite: Completion of the Composition I requirement.

Students must register for one lab and one discussion section.
