Citizens & Democratic Process

Credit: 3 OR 4 hours.

Examines the concept of citizenship in American democracy. Topics to be studied include the changing conceptualization of democratic citizenship; the use of political information and mass communication; political and interpersonal trust; civic engagement; education; roles and responsibilities of political and civic leaders.

3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: Consent of instructor.
