Classification, anatomy, ecology, behavior, distribution, and evolution of fishes of the world. Emphasis is on morphological, ecological, and behavioral diversification of fishes in a phylogenetic context. Laboratory devoted to anatomy and identification.

Offered in alternate years. Prerequisite: IB 201; or consent of instructor.
