Classical plate bending theory; emphasis on methods of solution including series expansions, variational procedures, and finite element techniques applicable to plate-type structures commonly encountered in practice; consideration of inplane loads, large deflections, buckling, and anisotropy.
Prerequisite: CEE 471.
