Introduction to the mean state of the atmosphere, the fundamental physics of weather processes, and the mechanisms producing daily weather changes, both qualitative and quantitative in nature.

Prerequisite: MATH 241 (formerly MATH 243) or MATH 242; or consent of instructor.
