Topic: Exploring Public Art in Urban Settings. This course explores contemporary public art in urban areas of the midwest. Visits to St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis, its museums, parks, and sculpture gardens are the inspiration for the development of site specific art proposal with the focus on a scale model. Minimal travel expenses will be in addition to tuition. Open to all Univesity students summer only. Contact the instructor for more information.
