Credit: 1 OR 2 hours.
(VP 371) Seminar based on student presentation of current epidemiological topics, followed by class discussion. Topics originate from popular media accounts, combined with information from original scientific communications. Outside speakers provide alternative views about the role of the media in presenting scientific issues.
Same as CHLH 571. 1 professional hour, or 1 or 2 graduate hours. Approved for S/U grading only. Prerequisite: One semester of epidemiology.
