(STAT 411) Bayes estimates, minimaxity, admissibility; maximum likelihood estimation, consistency, asymptotic efficiency; testing and confidence intervals; Neyman-Pearson lemma, uniformly most powerful tests; likelihood ratio tests and large-sample approximation; nonparametrics.

Prerequisite: STAT 510.
