Credit: 3 hours.

Through literature and films, studies the impact of historical change on individuals and on cultures, the breakdown of borders, the building of new hierarchies of domination and exploitation, the contact and collision between the local and the global, and the transnational and problematic processes of cultural globalization.

Same as CWL 112. This course can be used to fulfill either Western or Nonwestern general education categories, but not both.
