(SPAN 125) Introduction to Spanish orthography, syntax and vocabulary for students of Hispanic background who have had little or no formal training in the Spanish language.

SPAN 125 and SPAN 143, together, fulfill the LAS foreign language requirement. Prerequisite: Consent of instructor.

Designed for students whose home language is Spanish. Emphasis will be on development of literacy and academic Spanish language skills.
