(MBA 401) This course focuses on understanding the business formation process and how to prepare a business plan. Specific learning objectives include: ; planning and measurement of firm resources; the economic theory of the firm; decision making under uncertainty; understanding customer choice; financial management; oral presentation; and computer skills.

Students who receive credit for MBA 501 may not receive credit for the following courses: ACCY 501, BADM 520, BADM 544, or BADM 572, or ECON 522. Prerequisite: Admission to the Master of Business Administration program.

Students must register for one lecture-discussion and one lecture section.
