(MATH 382) Rigorous introduction to a wide range of topics in optimization, including a thorough treatment of basic ideas of linear programming, with additional topics drawn from numerical considerations, linear complementarity, integer programming and networks, polyhedral methods.

3 undergraduate hours. 3 or 4 graduate hours. Four hours of credit requires approval of the instructor and completion of additional work of substance. Prerequisite: MATH 415.
