(LING 250) Relationships within the social, linguistic and cultural mosaic of language in the USA; language-related controversies in a historical context and their implications; language diversity, language use, language rights (e.g., English Only, multilingualism); creativity and identity in minority languages; the impact of American English on other Englishes and languages across cultures.
