(E S L 113) Introduction to the process of writing; fundamentals of paragraph development; development of oral skills.

Students should consult their college concerning use of credit from this course toward graduation. Prerequisite: Recommendation from UIUC English as a Second Language Placement Test.

Proof of eligibility must be brought to the first meeting of the class. No student will be permitted to remain in the class who does not take the Diagnostic Test administered during the first three class meetings.
