(C S 322) Advanced course in principles of language design. Using imperative and functional programming as unifying themes, major language design paradigms will be explored. Tools in this study will include both practical language processor construction and theoretical models. Emphasis will be on reasoning about programs and languages.

3 undergraduate hours. 3 or 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: CS 421.
