Course Information Suite

categories    >>    HUM

If you entered college as a freshman in Fall 1994 or later, you need to complete six hours of Humanities & the Arts courses in order to graduate. Humanities & the Arts courses are divided into two subcategories: Historical & Philosophical Perspectives and Literature & the Arts.

The courses in both subcategories satisfy the six-hour Humanities & the Arts requirement on a campus-wide basis. Courses are listed by subcategory, subject, and number, and include the date at which the course became effective for General Education credit. If you took a course on or after its effective date, then it counts toward your requirement. If you took a course before its effective date, however, it will not count.

Effective for entering freshmen in Fall 2004, all courses on this list are approved for General Education credit on a campus wide basis. However individual Colleges or curricula may require specific courses or course categories. Students should consult their advisors about selecting the general education courses which best fit their programs of study.

Courses are added as they are approved.
