Physics PHYCS 319. Space, Time, and Matter Same as PHIL 319. Philosophical examination of some fundamental concepts and theories of the physical world, such as time, matter, causation, space, and geometry; interpretation of quantum theory. Graduate students write an additional paper. Prerequisite: Junior standing, one physical science course, and one of the following: PHYCS 114 or PHIL 101, PHIL 270, or PHIL 317; or consent of instructor. 3 hours or 1 unit.
