PHYCS 426. Applications of General Relativity

Same as ASTR 426 and MATH 465. Continuation of PHYCS 425 with emphasis on applications to astrophysics and cosmology. Topics include: relativistic stars, gravitational collapse, black holes, gravitational waves, numerical relativity and cosmology.

Prerequisite: PHYCS 425 or consent of instructor.
4 hours or 1 unit. (Offered in alternate Spring semesters. ).
