PHYCS 382. Subatomic Physics
Lecture and problem course surveying subatomic physics; includes the nature and properties of nuclei and elementary particles, symmetries, interactions, nuclear models, tools and techniques of experimental subatomic physics, and applications to power generation, astrophysics, chemistry, medicine, and biology.
Prerequisite: PHYCS 383 or PHYCS 386, or consent of instructor.
4 hours or 1 unit.
