ENVST 416. Developmental Toxicology
Same as V B 416.
Introduction to developmental toxicology that examines causes and manifestations both of structural malformations and of functional deficits in mammals.
Topics covered include interactions between external factors and developmental gene expression, the behavioral consequences of chemical exposure, identification and regulation of developmental toxicants.
Examples emphasize developmental toxicants that are present in the human environment.
Laboratory demonstrations will illustrate lecture material whenever feasible.
Prerequisite: ENVST 349, or one course in neurobiology or consent of instructor.
