C S 348. Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Same as ECE 348. Introductory description of the major subjects and directions of research in artificial intelligence; topics include AI languages (LISP and PROLOG), basic problem solving techniques, knowledge representation and computer inference, machine learning, natural language understanding, computer vision, robotics, and societal impacts.

Prerequisite: C S 225 or ECE 291; or consent of instructor.
3 hours, or 3/4 or 1 unit.
