Multiple Disabilities
Credit: 3 hours.
Focuses upon the physical and educational characteristics of individuals with multiple disabilities, particularly those with physical disabilities and other health and sensory impairments; covers educational curricula, teaching methods, and other educational considerations such as working with parents, medical personnel, and support staff, and educational adaptations. Prerequisite: Admission to the Department of Special Education or consent of instructor.

| Restricted to EDM:Special Education -UIUC, EDM: Special Ed - UIUC, or NDEG:Grad Nondegree-CE-UIUC. Online Meets 21-Jan-10 - 06-May-10. AO Tuition 1,000.00 dollars. Academic Outreach restrictions and assessments apply, see http://www.outreach.uiuc.edu. This section is for Access cohort 1 and graduate nondegree students. Classes will be held at the Ogden School Chicago. The course includes one face-to-face meeting per month and all other sessions will be delivered online using Elluminate. The course is part of a self-supporting program and DOES NOT accept the following tuition and fee waivers (TFWs): Cooperating Teacher waivers, Non-Academic waivers (including UIUC employees and employees of other state institutions), Academic waivers from UIUC, UIC and UIS employees, Related Agency waivers, Field Supervisor waivers or Retiree waivers. This program DOES accept statutory waivers (veterans grants, etc.) and waivers granted through fellowships/assistantships as governed by the Graduate College at UIUC.
