Fundamentals of classical Lagrangian and Hamiltonian mechanics, with emphasis on the relation between dynamical symmetries and constants of the motion; use of conservation laws to derive basic equations of fluid dynamics; discussion of some applications. Prerequisite: PHYS 326.
