Higher Education Finance

Credit: 4 hours.
Explores the foundations of higher education finance by analyzing key theories, structures, and challenges of college and university financing. Students will examine readings, present papers and actively participate in class discussions, so as to better comprehend the financial complexities dictating current institutional policies and practices. Prerequisite: EOL 571.

Academic Outreach restrictions and assessments apply, see http://www.outreach.uiuc.edu. This site-based course is for EOL CCEL EdD students. The course begins Aug 29 and ends Nov 15. Class sessions will be held on three weekends, Aug 29 and 30, Sep 26 and 27, and Oct 24 and 25, in room 162 of the College of Education on the UIUC campus in Champaign, IL. The College of Education is located at 1310 S. Sixth St. The class will also meet one weekend, Nov 14 and 15 at the Oak Brook, Multi-University Center. All weekend sessions will be held on Friday evenings from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
