Advanced Problems in LIS

Credit: 2 to 4 hours.
(LIS 450) Variety of newly developed and special courses on selected problems in the four curriculum domains of Design and Evaluation of Information Systems and Services, Information Organization and Analysis, Management and Consulting for Information Systems and Services, and Access - People and Collections, offered as sections of LIS 590. To register for 2 hours a student must have completed a course in business reference or competitive intelligence or have had substantial, demonstrable experience doing business research. Students without this course work or experience should register for 4 hours. The 2 hour option will require participation in several of the scheduled class sessions in addition to work on project teams. The 4 hour option requires students to attend all scheduled class sessions in addition to completion of assignments and work on project teams.
